Need some fun ways to teach sight words? This post is for YOU! They are all super low prep and best of all, EDITABLE! Yep, you can use your own sight words that your students need to work on.
What I love about this product is rather than scrolling through hundreds of premade sight word sheets, you can plug in your specific sight words ONE TIME, and the entire PDF will autofill will tons and tons of activities for your kids. So.Easy.
10 different activities include everything from magnets, hands on building, games, worksheets, & tracing!
I am always trying to save paper in the classroom, so reusing these sheets in a page protector is a HUGE ink and paper saver! You could also laminate them or use them in Write and Wipe Pockets like the ones listed below.
Want a closer look at each activity? Check them out below!
In this sheet, students match up their words written out in different fonts.
This hands-on sheet gives students the opportunity to build, trace, and write each word. Instead of using magnets, you could have them use stamps, letters tiles, or bottle caps with letters! Use whatever you already have!
What child doesn’t love play dough?! Let them build those fine motor skills while making their words.
Sight words are even pretty in rainbow form. 🙂
These flash cards make a great extension activity for students to take home and practice! I send home our new sight words as flash cards every week so that parents know what words we are working on and can help their student at home.
This memory game is one of my FAVORITE small group activities. I print off each week’s words and have a new game each week! I also throw in some words from previous weeks for review to make one big memory game.
These practice sheets are great for morning work, centers, early finishers, or however you choose!
Integrate color words with sight words in this fun sheet.
This Roll the Words game is always a student favorite. Anything that includes dice is a WIN in their book!
It never hurts to get a little handwriting practice in either!
You can see in these photos which text is editable and where all of the words will autofill.
