This fun Sight Word Activity is perfect for Spring or during a Ladybug unit! You can edit the words to quickly prep a hands-on review for your students.
GETTING READY
To prep this activity, you will need to edit your sight words first! You could also use spelling words, CVC words, or whatever phonics skill your kiddos are working on. Once you open the PDF, you will see blue boxes on the recording page. This is where you will type your words. As you type them, they will autofill on the next page for the dice.
Don’t worry, the blue boxes will not print! It just highlights the text that can be edited. After editing, you will need to print the recording sheet and dice. After printing the dice, follow the directions for folding and assembling. You will need to cut along the solid lines, and fold the dashed lines. I used tape to secure my folds.
After the dice is assembled, you’re ready to roll!
If you do not want to mess with assembling the editable dice, dry erase dice are a good option as well! You can simply write your words on each side and erase when you want to change them. I found these on Amazon for you!
THE ACTIVITY
Your students will love rolling the dice, reading the word, and writing it in the boxes. If they land on “Pick a Word,” they can choose which word they want to record.
