My 3 year old is ALL about letters and numbers right now! Anything I can do to keep his interest going, I am all about it.
I came up with a Letter Hunt! We use his favorite letter puzzle and take turns hiding the letters around the room. He loves looking for them and putting them back on the puzzle.
Here is his favorite Letter Puzzle by Melissa and Doug:
What he isn’t loving lately is handwriting and writing the letters, so I came up with this Letter Hunt recording sheet to use as he searches, in hopes it will help him be more excited about writing them!
We had some Easter eggs laying around the house still, so I took it a step further and made it an Easter Egg Letter Hunt! I popped the letters inside and hid them around the house. But really you could just hide letters of any kind!
He rounded up a few eggs at a time and got to work on tracing the letters. You could also have your child color in the box if they are quite ready to trace the letters just yet.
After tracing these 3 letters, he headed back out to find more!
