I have officially become HOOKED on Boom Cards™! My 3.5 year old LOVES them and I am loving making all kinds of sets for Kindergarten! They are such a simple and fun way for students to have hands-on skills practice while incorporating technology. If you have no idea what I am talking about, let me explain what Boom Cards™ are!
What are Boom Cards™?
Boom Cards™ are sets/decks of digital task cards. They are hosted through the Boom Learning Platform (website or an app) where students can complete each digital task card in a deck. My Boom Cards™ decks all focus on a different skill and allow students to interact in a variety of ways:
Multiple Choice
For this CVC Words deck, students will read the word using the sound dots and then click the correct matching picture. It is self-checking, so it will let them know if they answered correctly, or if they need to try again!
This Push and Pull deck is similar to the first one- students look at the picture and then just choose if they see a Push or Pull.
This is also a multiple choice deck on 2d Shapes– students look at the picture and choose what 2d Shape they see.
Drag and Drop
Other decks allow students to drag and drop things! I love this Measurement deck because students have to drag and order the objects based on different types of measurement- this one is capacity.
They can drag and drop images or text. In this Beginning Blends deck, students drag the correct beginning blend to spell the word.
In this Comparing Numbers deck, students have to drag and drop the correct symbol between the numbers.
Fill in the Blank
Fill in the Blanks are a great way for students to practice using a keyboard and finding letters or numbers. In this Magic E deck, students have to look at the picture and then correctly spell the Magic E word by typing in each letter in the boxes.
All of the cards I have featured are available in my HUGE Boom Cards™ MEGA BUNDLE. There are over 550 digital task cards included in the bundle with over 25 skills for students to practice. Click the picture to check it out:
This FREE Ice Cream Addition deck is also a Fill in the Blank deck! Students look at each ice cream cone and count the scoops. They fill in each number in the boxes.
After that, they count how many there are all together and type in the correct sum! You can grab it for FREE below!
